Design and build for the electrical installations within the new refurbished male and female toilet blocks in the main terminal building.

BP Installations were Project Managers for the internal telephone system upgrade works. We closely liaised with the specialist contractor and the Airport management team to ensure a smooth installation and commissioning process for the new telephone systems.All works were carried out on time and budget.

London City Airport requested our assistance to identify the best way to upgrade the existing switch room equipment within each gate lounge.We surveyed all the existing equipment and to save time and reduce costs, came up with a solution that kept the existing panels but replaced all the internal mechanisms with new systems. By following this option, there was no need to shut down any of the gate lounges whilst the changeover took place.

We undertook the initial survey works of the existing airfield perimeter cabling, followed by replacement of 25% of the current PERI cabling. We were involved with various teams of airfield services, e.g. Tarmac (Groundworks), NATS and Airfield Operations.Once the works were complete, the design, installation and data terminations were handed over to NATS for their combined final commissioning.All works were monitored to ensure no disruptions to the daily operations of the airport.

Design and installation of all the electrical services required for the refurbishment of the airside ground floor toilets. All works were completed on time and budget.

Installation of the main electrical services for the new outbound baggage system. The works required close liaison with the specialist conveyor belt contractor as the works were carried out whilst the airport was normal operation.All works were completed to programme and on budget and the airport continued with normal operations throughout the works.

Installation of a new PA / VA Rack system.Works included the complete rewiring of the existing system to a new location within the main building.All works were completed, tested and handed over to London City Airport on time and budget.

As a main contractor on site, we liaised with the specialist CCTV contractor to complete all the electrical infrastructure works for the installation of a new CCTV system. We were responsible for running all the power and data cabling, including dual compartment trunking and basket.Prior to the works, we were responsible for carrying out a full survey of the existing CCTV System including tracing and confirmation of all CAT5 data/fibre cabling to all data hubs and external junction boxes. This allowed the client design team to produce an updated schematic system for inclusion in the main tender.
