LCY NATS Tower Refurbishment
Full electrical refurbishment works for the existing control tower and auxiliary buildings.
Role: Electrical Contractor
Work Involved:
Installation of new LV Distribution Panels complete with internal changeover switches allowing for additional generator back up system to be installed.
All the works had to be completed, out of operational hours so as not to impact on the normal day-to-day NATS operations of a busy airport.
The new electrical systems were installed alongside the existing systems and then swapped over during a weekend closure.
Additional works in conjunction with the refurbishment involved upgrading of all IT Cabinets with new power supplies including a UPS Back up system.
