LCY Departure Lounge
Electrical upgrade and design works for the expansion of LCY’s main departure lounge.
Role: Electrical Contractor
Following the expansion of the number of passengers flying from London City Airport since its inception, there was a need to expand the departure lounge area to accommodate extra passenger volume. BP Installations was appointed to carry out the electrical works for the Departure Lounge Refurbishment projects.
The project was split into two phases:
Survey of existing services followed by the strip-out and demolition of the existing offices within the vicinity of the departure lounge. Temporary electrical supplies were installed to ensure that the works did not impact the day-to-day operations of the airport.
Working closely with Atkins and EDF we helped design and install the electrical services for the new departure lounges. These works involved close liaison and co-operation with the various departments at LCY to ensure a smooth transition and that the works did not affect airport operations.
We ensured that all works were carried out professionally to client specifications. Both project phases were delivered on time and to budget.
